I was watching the webinar on asset tagging again as we are looking at changing how we track everything. I currently have a CMDB in SCSM which has not been too well received people prefer the spread sheet which to me has inherent flaws in that you can not easily track who changed what. That said I am pushing to keep SCSM as the ultimate source of truth but I had a few thoughts due to other things I am being ask. One thing I am being ask is could I list who is the server owner or owning team in the alert emails that go out. This is mainly needed for alerts that my team and the owning team should be getting for things liked drive space, memory, cpu etc. My first thought was maybe using the custom tagging I could get at this information.
