This is more of a comment than a question. I have tried all the suggested fixes on the internet to get the SCOM Synthetic Transactions Web Recorder working, deleting registry keys, enabling Third Party Addons and Enhanced Protection Mode, ensuring that the IE11 64bit is the app being opened, but none of these fixed it.

What did fix it was a simple registry key, and I wanted to share it with everyone incase others have this issue.

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{09F5D5A0-7D28-49E2-B238-A9353829CF64}\InprocServer32\7.0.5000.0]
“RuntimeVersion”=”v4.0.30319”

This issue was driving me crazy! So glad its now resolved.
