As Bottekott stated, this button does not actually do anything for a large number of monitors.
There are also “manual reset” monitors that require the use of this button. If you look at the monitor properties (right click the monitor in health explorer) and view the “health” tab, you’ll see if it’s a manual reset.
There can be a number of reasons why the monitor did not reset – Do you know what the interval it checks is set to? Was the problem solved and the monitor reset before it’s next check?
As far as I understand, very few monitors actually support the “recalculate” feature. You have to wait for the monitor to change states itself, or just use the reset monitor button if you want to manually change it.
