I currently need to monitor a netscaler and I am having issues getting beyond the discovery. SCOM is able to see the devices through SNMP, but I am unable to collect any performance metrics.
Has anybody configured SCOM for this and if so, did you build a dashboard in Squared Up?
This is something I already know that there is a MP available from Citrix for the NetScaler. I am asking if anyone has had any experience in setting them up and once setup have they made a dashboard.
We’ve set this up and have it working in our environment. The MP guide from Citrix is a bit back to front but all the info you need is in there. Where are you having trouble?
I know of the install onto the servers. There is basically a citrix agent that is installed. I have discovered the netscalers but unable to pull an info. I look at the logs and it is indicating that SCOM is not authorized. I do not manage the netscalers so it is painful to get anything done with them. All I know is that the CLI is configured for access but the GUI is not. The GUI is outputting ‘not authorized’ as well. Is this how the Citrix Agent communicates with the netscaler?
