Hi all,
I am not familiar with Company KB in SCOM so need some advice.
I know it works on Rules and Monitors.
I know we should use separate MP for each Product i.e one MP for Company KB for SQL and another MP for Company KB for AD etc. and not put ALL Company KB in on e MP.
I want to know if we can make it work for individual “Groups” which are saved in the same MP?
Like, I have a Group of SQL QA servers and a Group for SQL Prod Servers both saved in the same MP called Master MP for all SQL.
When any Alert/Monitor is triggered for SQL QA server, it should use its own Company KB created for that Group only.
Example:
"This is a QA Server so do not escalate to the DBA after hours
Check - A
Check - B
Check - C
og a ticket in the System"
When any Alert/Monitor is triggered for SQL Prod server, it should use its own Company KB created for that Group only.
“This is a Prod Server:
Check - A
Check - B
Check - C
Escalate this to the DBA urgently”
Is this possible or do i have to separate the two Groups into their separate MPs to make this work?
If it works on rules and monitors, do i have to create separate rules and monitors to target my QA group and Prod Group?
