Create task for users to reboot servers

Is there a way to add a ‘task’ in the server view that would allow a user to reboot a server? Users want to be able to put the server in maintenance mode then reboot the server from the SquredUp console.

Sure, you can create an Agent Task - Run Command inside SCOM, just be sure to target it to a class you have in SquaredUp, and fire.

shutdown -r -t 0

So I have done this now (thanks for suggestion), created an Agent task targeted to ‘windows computer’, which is inherited by the Windows Server 2012 R2 Full Computer class that shows in SquaredUp. (followed )

This task shows up and works in the SCOM console, but I’m not seeing it in the list of tasks in SquaredUp.

Is there something I have to do on the SquaredUp side to have the console see the new task?

Ok, well I was wanting to do a console task since that would work even if the agent was unresponsive… but I guess we work with what we have

Ah, slight problem if you followed the guide to the letter - The tasks in Squared Up are Agent tasks, not Console tasks. The first part of the guide shows selecting a console task!

On the first page of the wizard on the guide you’ve posted, it shows the two separately. Select the same again as an Agent Task and you should be good!
