Our team has an one on call number for 27/7 support, we forward this number to the mobile number of the person that has the on call duty.
Text messages are not forwarded, so I’m looking into other possibilities, would it be possible to send an alert to a whatsapp or telegram group ?

Use a command channel and you can send data wherever you choose.
We have alerts going to Slack via an API request.
