I was talking with Kevin from support about the maintenance mode button on the enterprise application dashboard. This will but the whole application in maintenance mode, so also the dependencies group as part of the application. When a application is depended on other applications, this is not a good solution, because all the other application will also go into maintenance mode. He will past this problem to the product managers, but in the meantime I was thinking to workaround this with a scom task that I can add to a second button on the enterprise application dashboard. The task needs, based on the EA, to put only the availability and map/components group into maintenance mode. Can anyone help me with a powershell script to do this?
