With the FIFA World Cup 2026 underway across the USA, Canada and Mexico, we built a fun plugin to bring all 48 teams and 104 matches into SquaredUp. It’s available right now in the data source catalog, requires no authentication to get started, and takes about a minute to set up.
We pull data from openfootball/worldcup.json — a free, open-source, community-maintained dataset on GitHub. No API key or account required. Note that as an unofficial, community-run source, data coverage depends on the third party keeping it up to date.
Out-of-the-box dashboard
We have shipped a ready-made Team dashboard covering the key things you want to follow during the tournament: the group standings, live and completed match results, knockout bracket fixtures and more.
Data streams
There are seven data streams you can use independently to build your own tiles and dashboards:
-
group-standings - current standings across all 12 groups
-
matches - the full fixture list with scores and match status
-
knockout - knockout bracket fixtures as the tournament progresses
-
last-match - most recent result for a given team
-
next-match - upcoming fixture for a given team
-
team-standing - points and position for a specific team
-
teams-import - indexes all 48 teams into SquaredUp for scoping and dashboard variables
Perfect for a sweepstake
Whether you’ve got a sweepstake running across the team or you just want to keep tabs on all 48 nations without leaving SquaredUp, this plugin has you covered.
